Clay pendants are simple to create and style to your own taste with a variety of symbols and images. For ideas, go to your local craft store and peruse the rubber stamp aisle or go online and search for a topic that interests you.
Artist Kari Hansen effortlessly created this asian-style pendant (left) with polymer clay.
The rubber stamp was used as a mask, or template, for the clay piece. You could also use clip art or a computer font with this technique.
Whatever character you decide on, don't forget that you can scan and enlarge or reduce the printed image to make any size pendant.

So many babies! That was the rallying call for Makrista Baby’s focus on the most snuggly-wuggly clothes around.
“Our passion for the baby clothing line came from the large group of friends and family who were just starting their families.”
Kristy B. Golden and Stacy Beck, the two sisters behind the line, try to keep the clothing as unisex as possible on these “all cotton, all super soft, high-quality garments.”
Each piece is hand-dyed with custom colors and each patch and design is applied in their studio.
Our personal faves are the vintage sheet-music tees, featuring images from, yep, vintage sheet music. The artwork stems from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. It’s cool, classic and perfect for your stylish cherub. For more cool items from Makrista Baby, check out their Etsy site.
My boyfriend loves Hunter S. Thompson. Recently, I found a used copy of a first edition, hard-cover, only the book has separated from the cover at the spine. I’d love to reattach it, any idea how and what materials to use?
