So, you forgot to send out the holiday cards this year. It’s okay. Sometimes the holidays are so hectic...too hectic. But once the holidays are passed, you start to feel like an absolute slacker. Enter Happy New Year’s cards.
These are a great way to reconnect with your loved ones on your own schedule. Plus, they have the added benefit of spreading the holiday cheer all the more with great wishes for the new year.
Amy Armato of Armato Design created this holiday card on the computer.

This card uses simple fonts, keyboard punctuation such as asterisks and periods as well as creative rotations, sizes and shapes to express your “Merry Wishes” for the holidays.
Choose what words you want your Merry Wishes to be. Here are common ones such as happiness, peace and love and some nontraditional ones such as creativity, surprises and wealth.
Choose two of your favorite fonts. Here is a simple modern font and a scripty, frilly font for contrast. Type half the words in one font, half in another.
Go for a beautiful color combination. This is pretty traditional with red and green but other beautiful wintery options are aqua and deep red or bright pink and olive green.
Make a circle and center Merry Wishes or another greeting inside it. For a more interesting arrangement don’t place it in the center of the card. This one was placed a little down and right of center.
Now’s the time to get creative. Rotate words, enlarge or shrink them and color them any pleasing way to create a balanced (but not necessarily symmetrical) illustration.
Add asterisks, periods or other keyboard symbols to add a bit of ornament to the card.

We'll show you how to lay out your cards like a pro. You can flawlessly print on the back and front with messages inside! MORE
