Memory Crafts: Go Digital, Darlin'!

Chances are, if you are viewing this Web site, you own your own computer. We’re also willing to bet that you are pretty darn good at using the thing.

Your computer will open so many new doors when you use it for crafting. You can print eloquent text, manipulate photos and create your own designs.

We are very excited about the many digital applications in the crafting world. Therefore, this issue of The Chick’s Guide includes two digitally-minded crafts.

The digital scrapbook page shown above features a digital image with “spot color"–it's a just a sample of themany great and easy-to-do projects in our newlyreleased book, Scrapbooking Digitally: The Ultimate Guide to Saving Your Memories Digitally.

Our box purse project will teach you how to print your own designs on fabric.

Our “Chick Certified” artist, Jackie Eckles (see below), designs digital scrapbook page elements and creates amazing digital scrapbook art.

Chick's Guide Certified: Stuff We Love!

Jackie Eckles

Jackie entered into the world of scrapbooking much like other hobbyists, creating pages with scissors, glue and paper. One day she picked up a digital scrapbooking magazine and never turned back.

In 2006, she began designing her own digital products. She has created designs for Designer Digitals and Autumn Leaves. Her most current designs are featured on Little Dreamer Designs and Memory Mixer. She also recently launched a line with Fancy Pants Designs. Her style can be described as layered and soft with a focus on distressed elements.

Check out our Chick Chat blog to read a Q & A with this amazing artist.

These page kits include coordinating papers and embellishments; get them at Little Dreamer Designs.

Dear Chicks's Guide:

My apartment is the pits. But I’ve got such a bad case of cabin fever, the call of the wild is waaaay more tempting than the call of the clean. How can I motivate to clean the place up?

Best,
Dusty
